Working as an Area Sales Manager-New Media Sales, you will manage a sales team of 8-12 Account Executives to achieve set objectives. A key component of the position will require you to assist account executives with account retention, revenue growth of current accounts and finding new customers. This position will manage a team of Account Executives that will provide to customers an innovative and highly effective mix of multimedia local advertising search offerings to help make consumers' lives easier and help businesses be found, find customers and manage their brand. The Account Executives will help businesses grow and succeed by delivering actional leads through best-in-class offerings that include: Yp.com, YP360, Online Video Ads, Mobile Advertising, Search Engine Marketing, ATT411 Texting, Websites (traditional and mobile), Yahoo! Online Display Ads, Targeted Direct Mail (Digital Express), AT&T Real Yellow Pages.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coach and develop the sales team, management team and inter-departmental groups
  • Assist Account Executives in promoting all of our products by insuring the availability of appropriate sales tools and techniques and facilitate timely, effective communication
  • Maintain relations with customers and resolve customer concerns
  • Must protect and increase annual company revenue
  • Control sales force work flow by adjusting account assignments
  • Interact with sales operations, customer service, design and fulfillment teams
  • Manage credit status on accounts utilizing the Credit team
  • Plan and implement campaign strategies, sales incentives, training, and canvas reviews

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • One or more years successful advertising and/or media sales experience
  • Experience working in a sales commission and bonus environment
  • Strong sales management, leadership, organizing and planning skills to lead team
  • Ability to influence/persuade others
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (oral, written and presentation)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Two or more years management experience in a sales related position that includes sales objectives
  • One or more years sales training experience
  • Knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook
  • Knowledge of company policies, sales operations and departmental functions
