Assistant Executive Director

The Fresno Redevelopment Agency is a vibrant, active and engaged organization committed to removing blight and encouraging growth, vitality, renewal and rehabilitation of deteriorated areas. The Agency is focused on the implementation of major watershed projects that will have a defining effect on the shape and future of Fresno’s inner city neighborhoods, downtown, and industrial areas; and on moving toward fulfilling the collective vision of a vital, thriving Fresno for today and future generations.

The Assistant Director will plan, organize and assist in the day-to-day operations of the Agency; direct and coordinate special projects and programs; and assist the Director with a variety of administrative duties. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of redevelopment, land economics and finance; will be politically astute; an excellent leader; and have highly effective communication and negotiating skills. The position requires a BA/BS degree and four years of senior level redevelopment experience. Public sector experience is preferred. The salary level is currently under review.

Office Manager

Job Description: Daily management and support for our dedicated TEAM. Processing of accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, bank reconciliations, payroll, account analysis and reconciliation, journal entries and correcting entries, inventory, order processing, overseeing shipping, making online travel arrangements for our sales TEAM, and responding to customer service inquiries. Will be using Excel to create and work with spreadsheets and automated accounting, inventory, and UPS software on a daily basis.

  • Well versed in the use of Quick Books and Microsoft Office 2003, including building and using Excel spread sheets

Chief Development Officer

Description:  Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fresno, Kings and Madera Counties seeks an experienced development professional to serve as lead strategist for agency fund development, assisting the Chief Executive Officer and management team marry a multi-year revenue plan to the agency’s growth agenda.  The CDO will manage the fund development team, and serve as primary staff support (in fund-raising matters) for the chief executive and Board.

Key elements of the agency fund development program include: donor acquisition and fund-raising events; an annual giving program; major gifts from individuals; and corporate and foundation giving.  Supporting elements include donor stewardship; gift entry and acknowledgement; database management; and donor research.

Qualifications:
¨      A bachelor’s degree; 
¨      3-5 years progressively responsible experience in fund development such as annual giving, major gifts, events;
¨      Exceptional presentation and relationship building ability;
¨      Superior oral and written communication skills;
¨      Appreciation and understanding of the vision and mission of BBBS;
¨      Demonstrable personal solicitation success;
¨      Management experience w/ at least 2 direct reports;
¨      Valid US driver’s license and ability and willingness to travel.

Compensation:  Low to mid sixties with full benefits.
