Mechanical Engineer / Designer

Blue Dolphin Engineering LLC is a Central California based Consulting Engineering firm providing engineering services for a wide variety of clients located throughout the United States. Blue Dolphin Engineering is looking for an entry to midlevel mechanical engineer / designer. Position is located in Fresno, California and is part time to full time (contract or full hire).

Responsibilities

Interface with customers to determine project scopes and objectives. Use CAD to create models of designs. Supervise the completion of drawings and prototypes related to those models. Perform basic engineering calculations to support designs.

Requirements

SolidWorks CAD training and/or experience.

Engineering student with understanding of basic engineering calculations (Statics, strength of materials, etc.) or degreed engineer.

Excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Word, Excel, etc.

Mechanical aptitude with the ability to approach and solve mechanical design challenges.

Krazan & Associates is looking for certified Reinforced Concrete, Prestressed Concrete, Structural Steel, Fireproofing and Masonry ICC (ICBO) Inspectors to be a part of our Construction Services team.

Responsibilities:

Apply special inspector responsibilities, authority and comply with requirements of enforcing jurisdiction. Be present for continuous inspection during execution of all work for which the special inspector has been engaged. Submit daily written and verbal reports to the local jurisdiction as required. Notify contractor, building official and designer of discrepancies when they occur or are not corrected. Prepare samples for laboratory testing in accordance with the project plans, specifications and governing authority. Maintain records of work inspected including discrepancies and action taken.

Requirements:
*ICC (ICBO) Certification in one or more of the following:
– Reinforced Concrete
– Prestressed Concrete
– Structural Steel
– Fireproofing
– Masonry
*ACI Certification
*AWS / CWI Certification a plus
*Valid California Drivers License.
*Ability to accomplish tasks under adverse weather and/or site conditions.
*May be required to work in confined spaces and climb and work at above average heights.
*Good or corrected vision and manual dexterity.

Krazan is currently recruiting for an accountable professional for our Clovis, CA office. The qualified candidate will be able to conduct Phase I Environmental Site Assessments including: Site reconnaissance, review of historical records & regulatory agency data, interviews, and report writing. Will also participate in third-party reviews, proposal preparation, invoicing, client contact, business development.

Requirements:
Minimum five-years relevant experience managing clients, staff and projects. Excellent written and verbal communication skills & computer skills. Previous supervisory / mentoring experience required. Full responsibility for segment staffing, production and revenues. REA, PG or comparable registration a plus.
