Forensic Accounting Sr. Associate/Manager

HMI’s experience encompasses all phases of the litigation and forensic consulting process – from initial development of strategy to discovery, analysis and expert testimony. Our Litigation department is currently looking for an experienced Associate to join our Fresno team.

Primary Responsibilities include:

  • Manage cases using appropriate resources and ensuring quality and accuracy of work of Associates
  • Identify audit case issues and perform analysis using assumptions that are logical, conservative, and well-founded
  • Research and use all available data to reach sound conclusions, making clear recommendations for clients and providing workable alternative solutions
  • Provide deposition and trial testimony as required
  • Provide mentorship to Associates and Sr. Associates
  • Pro-actively stay abreast of developments in the field of accounting, forensic accounting, and related current events
  • Establish client relationships and identify marketing opportunities for the firm

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years solid audit experience with large and complex audit clients with a Big 4 or other large CPA firm
  • CPA, other relevant certifications a plus (i.e. CFE, CVA, CMA, etc.)
  • Must be technically competent with GAAP and GAAS
  • Able to research technical issues
  • Must be inquisitive and innovative with a desire to apply skills and sound judgment to commercial disputes, helping the parties resolve their differences.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to work with a team and on individual projects

Additional Qualifications: Experience in TV, radio, video, and multimedia writing Knowledge of Macromedia Director and Flash. After Effects Experience is a big plus.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for coordinating all of the logistics and functional tasks necessary for
meeting the goals and objectives of the Prevention Youth Council and other program elements, and for
ensuring that the young people in the program are having high quality personal experiences.

Requirements
· Valid Driver’s License
· B.A. and/or at least two years relevant experience in field of youth development
· Computer literate; proficient in Microsoft Office
· Experience working directly with young people
· Belief in youth as assets and resources in their communities
· Excellent written and verbal communications skills
· Excellent follow-through skills; detail-oriented, organized, professional
· Able to work evenings and weekends
· Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-faceted environment
