Our accountants have been recognized as experts not only in local, state and federal courts but also in the World Court in The Hague. HMI’s experience encompasses all phases of the litigation and forensic consulting process – from initial development of strategy to discovery, analysis and expert testimony. Our Litigation department is currently looking for an experienced Associate to join our Fresno team.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Prepare accurate inventory of documents, organized in a logical and understandable manner
- Identify case issues and perform analysis resulting in organized, error-free work papers
- Determine and utilize appropriate software for each type of analysis
- Perform relevant and thorough research that is directly applicable to case issues and analysis performed
- Review and Summarize deposition transcripts
- Prepare presentations, letters, reports, and memos, which clearly, accurately and concisely communicate the intended message or information
- Understand and react to urgency by resolving conflict with appropriate Manager or Director involvement
- Ability to “think outside of the box” and present creative solutions to tasks at hand
Minimum Qualifications Include:
- Audit Experience Required
- Forensic Accounting Experience a plus
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business
- CPA or CPA Candidate
- Excellent critical thinking and data analysis skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication
- Organized, self-starter
- Works well with a team and independently
