REC Solar is looking for a Design Engineer. This opening will be a full-time position reporting to the Senior Design Engineer. REC Solar is an electrical construction company focusing on the implementation of solar electric power plants for residential and commercial clients. While still being a medium sized employer, it is one of the leading companies in its market with historic growth rates exceeding 75% annually.  In this high-energy, fast-paced position, the Design Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Visiting customer sites to perform evaluations and preliminary design.
• Complete system design.
• Drafting of system plans.
• Creates bill of materials for system.
• Interpretation of code requirements.
• Interfacing with local building officials.

 Qualifications:

• Attention to detail.
• AutoCAD and drafting experience.
• Good skills computer skills; MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Professional appearance and client interaction
• Good people skills, able to manage, motivate and discipline if necessary.
• Motivated team player, looking to succeed.
• Engineering background.
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering related field.
• Willing to travel if necessary.
• Ability to interpret construction documents.
• NEC Electrical code knowledge.
• Innovative and proactive.

Salary and Benefits:

This is a full time position with a base salary ranging $35k to $45k per year plus a performance bonus based on experience.  We offer health, dental, vision and 401k benefits.
