Encourage Tomorrow’s (EnTo) mission is to provide quality educational programs that empower individuals to become resilient and self-sufficient, to develop lifelong learning skills and to acquire & maintain healthy lifestyles. We currently provide educational programs for kindergarten to high school students and their families.
Position: Program/Tutor Coordinator
Reports to: Program Manager
Primary Function: To assist with the coordination of Encourage Tomorrow’s programs, events, tutoring program and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Collect necessary documentation for programs.
- Keep organized and detailed records of all necessary program documents
- Schedule, attend and assist at all general group leader meetings, training sessions and events
- Administer, collect and assess program evaluations
- Generate weekly report of activities
- Assist with recruitment and retention of students at all sites
- Schedule speakers for events and programs
- Obtain and coordinate transportation for students to events
- Maintain master program calendar
- Assist with fundraising activities
- Provide information on quarterly basis for Encourage Tomorrow Newsletter and for school sites
- Assist with the development and coordination of the Student Advisory Committee, Student Alumni Association and the Parent Advisory Committee
- Serve as primary representative of EnTo at school sites. Participate in school site meetings and other events as appropriate.
- Assist with coordination of tutoring program
- Collect necessary documentation for programs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Effective communicator, highly organized, detail-oriented and responsible
- Experience with tutoring program
- Work effectively with people from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
- Two years of increasingly responsible experience as a program coordinator, preferably in a non-profit organization and/or school system
- Current valid Calif. Drivers License & provide proof of liability insurance coverage
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including mail merge (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Publisher)
- Spanish speaking preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction/self-starter
- Must complete and pass pre-employment checks, including fingerprinting
- Ability work some nights and weekends
