The Spectrum Art Gallery, located in Fresno Tower District, is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Gallery Manager. The preferred candidate for the position will be knowledgeable in the area of fine art photography, professional in appearance, experienced in Microsoft Office and other business programs, amiable in demeanor, and most importantly, reliable. A background in gallery operations is desired.
The position is part-time, Wed.-Sat. & involves various aspects of gallery management. The position will report to the Board of Directors and job duties shall include but are not limited to the following:
- Communicate with the public, schools, & other arts groups
- Coordinate volunteers and contact members regarding gallery business
- Record & maintain information on exhibitions & artists
- Represent the gallery in local arts organizations
- Open, close & operate the gallery during regular gallery hours
- Operate bookstore & make print sales
- Act as a docent in the absence of the featured
- Prepare letters & mailings
- Design flyers & posters
- Attend board meetings & report to the board on the operation of the gallery
- Clean and maintain the gallery, darkroom, kitchen, bathroom & premises
- Run errands in personal vehicle
- Other duties as determined by the Board of Directors
